Important Note:
This trek into the Capão valley is ideal for families and for everyone who does not want steep trails. The Landscape is stunning. Depending on the weather conditions you can choose at the end of the trail whether you would like to visit the Riachinho waterfall to take a bath or the hippie village of capão.
3 Brothers, Aguas Claras, Capão Valley "light"
This 18km day hike leaves at the small river of Ponem nearby the famous flat table mountain Pai Inácio. Just a short ride away from Lençóis a car will drop us off here. After crossing the river we will just have to open a gate which will allow access into this beautiful, prairie landscape with the 3 brothers right on sight. The path is easy, with little up and downs. The scenery changes dramatically depending on the angle of how the sunlight illuminates the colorful rocks and the bush land. First target is Aguas Claras which lies at the foot of the Morrão – the highest peak of the northern Chapada Diamantina, the last one of the 3 brothers lining up and majestic symbol of the Capão valley. Until now winds and water still continue shaping this drum like looking flat table mountain. Far away from civilization a truely authentic Chapada Diamantina scenery. From here we continue our trek deeper into the valley following the plateau leading us to the Capão village. A little before the village we will be picked by our driver and have the choice to take a refreshing swim at the Riachinho waterfall or visit the small, alternative hippie village – Capão. Street artists create a wonderful atmosphere here, there many options to try regional specialties in simple restaurants and food stalls. Almost everything is produced organically. In the evening we will drive back to Lençóis.

Prerequisites:
Level 3: challenging tour; is feasible for everyone in good physical condition.and sense of balance. In part, the hands must be used to cope with steep climbs in the area. Sometimes we jump over boulders in the river bed
