01 Day. Day-Tour
Mountain biking, Canoeing, Marimbus Wetlands &
the Roncador river
We start our tour at 08:00 in the morning leaving from Lençóis by mountain bike. After a climb of 4 km, we cross a natural sandy track for 2 hrs (26 km) to reach the small town of Remanso.
From there starts an idyllic 1.5 hour rowboat trip through the Marimbus-marsh (mini Pantanal), framed by the the Serra do Sincora mountains. The wetlands region was formed by the convergence of two rivers (Rio Santo Antônio and Rio Utinga) and is particularly fascinating because of the varied flora and fauna. On the way, you can occasionally see birds and Capuchin monkeys. On rare occasions, you may catch a glimpse of capybaras and caimans.
After crossing the Roncador river we will cycle up to Casarão, an old country house where we will be served a typical regional lunch. We will then walk for 20 minutes to the "pasos do Roncador" great natural whirlpools with several small waterfalls and slides. Then we will bike for 2 ½ hours on a historic road back to Lençóis, where we will arrive in the late afternoon. Along the route, we will cross several shallow rivers. We also ride on smaller trails that demand a lot of strength and technique.
02Day. Day Tour
Rappelling into the cave Lapão
The starting point is Lençóis, from where we start the tour to the largest quartz cave in Brazil, the "Gruta do Lapão". After a good hour's walk, we are rewarded with a view of the impressive cave's exit, which boasts huge limestone formations. After a short break, it's time to rappel. Each participant can rappel at least twice in the cave. In the labyrinth of caves you can hear the sound of the underground Lapão stream, which continues outside the cave. Then, it's back on the same route for about 50 minutes to Lençóis.

Prerequisites MTB:
Level 2-3: A demanding tour that requires a good level of physical fitness. At times, the mountain bike must be carried through several riverbeds. Suitable for teenagers and older experienced mountain bikers

Level 1-2: Mild to moderate walk; is feasible for everyone in good physical condition
