Important Note:
It is not advisable to go for a trek in the National Park of Chapada Diamantina on your own. The orientation of the park is difficult because there are no signposts or accurate maps. The trails are sometimes overgrown, and this makes orientation significantly difficult.
07.Hiking-Sossego waterfall and natural waterslide Riberão do Meio
Leaving from Lençóis this challenging hike takes you along and into the Ribeirão River canyon to the stunning Sossego waterfall. It is an old diamond path that leads us past some natural water pools about half way up the trail. These pools invite you to take a refreshing bath before we climb further up the challenging river bed through the colorful canyon until we reach the Sossego waterfall. The return route takes you to the natural water-slide of the Ribeirão do Meio. Try the fun ride on this unique natural slide which leads into a big pool! Upon returning in Lençóis, we´ll stop along the way at a juice and snack stand owned by a Garimpeiro (diamond prospector).

Prerequisites:
Level 3: challenging tour; is feasible for everyone in good physical condition and sense of balance. In part, the hands must be used to cope with steep climbs in the area. Sometimes we jump over boulders in the river bed
